Reagan Hess: Future Olympian

There are very few people who know any Olympians in their lifetime, but here at A-C we possibly have our own future Olympian who goes by the name of Reagan Hess.

Hess has shown multiple times that she can rise to the occasion. In fact, many would agree that Hess has the talent and the desire to possibly compete at the Olympic level. She has broken and set new records at different high competitive meets.

Hess holds A-C’s 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, long jump, and 4×100 record with Tori Malloy, Timeshah Clark, and Veronica Merone. She also holds records at different meets like the Shippensburg Jack Roddick Invitational for the 100 and the 200 meter dashes.. For the Lancaster-League meet, she holds the long jump record, and at the the Lebanon County meet she holds the record in both the 200 meter dash and the long jump.

If this weren’t enough, she holds a record for the Battle of the Bridge including that in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and long jump. At the Lebanon County Invitational she has even won the Outstanding Female Athlete for the past 4 years!  Her fastest 100 meter dash time is 11.8 seconds, her 200 meter dash time is 24.6 seconds., and her best long jump is 19 feet, 6 inches.

Can Hess become the next  future Olympian?  Only time will tell, but since the potential is there in her determination and training from the past six years, it is entirely possible. Her leadership as a captain and her willingness to help out those athletes around her by encouraging them to strive for their best are traits of a true champion!
